Oof. Here we are—mid-January, and life already feels like a three-ring circus. Our attention is pulled by one spectacle after another. Some of it ridiculous. Some of it heartbreaking. All of it a reminder of just how much is unknown and uncertain.
I feel pulled to pay attention to everything so I don’t miss the important stuff. But when I do, I get hooked by the absurd and distracted from what’s actually important.
Do you feel like your attention is being pulled in all directions?
I do. And so do my clients. There’s a craving—collectively—for focus. For clarity. For something to ground us amidst the uncertainty.
This desire for an anchor is what draws many of my clients—and me—to somatic and mindset-focused work. It offers a way back to what I recently heard described as radical wholeness. (The term still gives me goosebumps!)
So often, the world pulls at us with promises of wholeness—if we just do more, achieve more, or have more. But what if the experiences we crave out there are available within?
Radical Wholeness Is…
Feeling at home and alive in your mind and body.
Trusting your wisdom and resourcefulness, and responding with care instead of reactivity.
Knowing that you are enough—even when life feels like it’s working against you.
Freedom.
The freedom to pause.
The freedom to notice the anger, the sadness, the fear—without needing to scroll, snack, or busy it away.
The freedom to reconnect with yourself.
So, what do you need to feel at home in yourself this year?
Where do you want to put your energy and attention?
What does your heart need most right now, in a world so quick to pull it in every direction?
Now is the time to sharpen our focus. To let go of the distractions that keep us from feeling capable, powerful, and whole.
xo, Beth
